MICHAEL GhALY, Ph.d.

Michael is a Research Associate in the Department of Radiology at Johns Hopkins. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins where his advisor was Eric Frey and his dissertation was on optimization and reconstruction methods for single-photon emission computed tomography. In his postdoctoral fellowship he worked with Drs. Frey and Sgouros on reconstruction and dosimetry methods for RPTs. He participated in RAPID’s ICORP project as the co-entrepreneurial lead and is the corresponding PI of the company’s first SBIR grant. He led the execution of the MII Technology Assessment grant of the technology RAPID is formed around. He is currently employed 51% by RAPID with an intent to increase his effort as funds are available.
